Refund Policy

Effective Date: 21 May 2026Last Updated: 27 October 2026

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund for a paid license to FlexiData or another product purchased from BasePointLabs. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Paid licenses are not on sale yet; this Policy applies once they are offered, through Paddle as reseller and Merchant of Record.

We want you to be confident in your purchase. That is why we offer a free trial and a money-back window on every first-time purchase.

1. Free Trial First

Before you buy a yearly license to FlexiData, you can use the 14-day free trial of the Autodesk App Store edition to fully evaluate the plugin. The trial is the recommended way to confirm that FlexiData fits your workflow, your Revit version, and your operating system.

2. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee on First-Time Purchases

If you are purchasing a yearly license for the first time, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of the original purchase date, for any reason.

To qualify:

  • the request must be made within 14 calendar days of the date of payment;
  • the request must come from the email address used for the purchase, or quote the order number from the Paddle receipt;
  • the refund applies to the first yearly license term only;
  • the refund does not apply to additional licenses added later, upgrades, or renewals.

3. Renewals

Renewal payments are not covered by the money-back guarantee in Section 2. Your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal and the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, remain unaffected.

You can cancel your subscription at any time using the subscription-management link in Paddle's purchase confirmation email or by emailing support@basepointlabs.io. Cancellation stops the next renewal but does not refund the current term.

You will receive a renewal reminder by email before each yearly renewal in accordance with Paddle's policies and applicable law. Please review the reminder if you wish to cancel before the renewal charge.

4. Upgrades, Downgrades, and Additional Licenses

  • Upgrades (e.g. Single User → Team, or adding licenses) are billed pro-rata and are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Downgrades take effect at the next renewal; we do not refund the difference for the current term.
  • Additional Team licenses are billed pro-rata for the remainder of the current term and are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. How to Request a Refund

Email support@basepointlabs.io from the email address used for the purchase, including:

  • the order or transaction ID from your Paddle receipt; and
  • if you like, a brief reason for the request (this is for product-improvement purposes; you do not need to justify a refund within the 14-day window).

We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, to the original payment method. Bank processing time typically takes a further 3–10 business days depending on your card issuer or payment provider.

6. Paddle's Role

Refunds are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (and/or its affiliates), our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle's own buyer terms apply in addition to this Policy: https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.

Paddle may, at its discretion and under its own buyer policy, issue a refund in circumstances beyond those listed above. Conversely, Paddle may also refuse a refund under the money-back guarantee where there is evidence of abuse or fraud.

7. Exceptions to the Money-Back Guarantee

We may refuse a refund under the money-back guarantee in Section 2 where we reasonably determine that:

  • the request is made outside the 14-day window;
  • the refund relates to a renewal rather than a first-time purchase;
  • the same customer has previously received a refund for the same product;
  • the License Key has been shared, transferred, or used in breach of the Terms of Service;
  • the request shows a pattern of abuse (e.g. repeated purchase-and-refund);
  • a chargeback has already been initiated for the same transaction;
  • there is evidence of fraud, identity misuse, or unlawful activity.

These exceptions do not limit your statutory right of withdrawal (Section 8) or your rights for faulty products (Section 9).

8. EU / EEA / UK Consumers — Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or United Kingdom, you have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts.

For digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium (downloadable software and license keys), this right expires early once performance has begun, provided that (1) you gave your express prior consent to performance beginning before the end of the withdrawal period, (2) you acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, and (3) we or Paddle have given you a confirmation of the contract, including that consent and acknowledgment, on a durable medium (for example by email) (Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU; in Germany § 356(5) BGB; Regulation 37 of the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013).

When you purchase FlexiData, you are asked in the checkout to give that consent and acknowledgment, and the purchase confirmation email confirms it. Your statutory right of withdrawal then expires once the License Key is delivered to you.

This does not reduce the contractual 14-day money-back guarantee in Section 2 — that contractual right remains available even after you start using the software, on the conditions described above.

When you purchase through Paddle, Paddle is the seller. You can send your withdrawal either to Paddle (as set out in Paddle's buyer terms) or to us at the address below; we will forward it to Paddle.

Withdrawal information (for consumers)

Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (BasePointLabs, Taras Vyslotskyj, Individual Entrepreneur, vul. Striletska 91, 79495 Vynnyky, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine, email: support@basepointlabs.io) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

Early expiry of the right of withdrawal. The right of withdrawal expires early if we have begun performance of the contract after you have expressly consented to our beginning performance before the end of the withdrawal period, you have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun, and we have provided you with a confirmation of the contract on a durable medium.
